Chiropractic:

Once I go to a chiropractor, will I always have to go?

How long you use chiropractic care is up to you. Some people choose to get adjusted only when they’re in pain, while others use regular adjustments as part of their ongoing health development strategy. We are here to help you understand both options and make the choice that’s best for you.

Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?

Not at all! This approach is gentle, precise, and doesn’t crack or pop any part of the neck or back. Using just a few ounces of pressure at specific Spinal Gateway points along the spine, we can get things moving again.

Can chiropractic cure everything?

Chiropractic restores your body’s self-healing ability by reducing stress held in the nervous system. Because the nervous system controls all parts of the body, this can have a positive effect virtually anywhere. We are careful to remind our clients that we are not ‘curing’ anything with the adjustment. However, when your body is finally working at its full potential, many things can change!

Why would I have my newborn or young child adjusted?

Adjusting kids is one of the most exciting parts about what I do. Early adjustments set the stage for healthier kids, as all aspects of their mental, emotional, physical and social development are controlled by their nervous system. Helping their nervous system stay regulated with chiropractic adjustments gives kids a powerful advantage as they grow.

Can chiropractic help with colic and how?

We do see babies with colic. Gentle, precise adjustments can bring ease and deep relaxation to a baby. This can make a big difference in how quickly colic resolves.

Does insurance cover chiropractic visits?

Some insurances will, but of course this varies by plan. We do accept HSA or Flex account payments.

Do I need a referral from my physician?

You do not need a referral from your physician in order to see a chiropractor.

Will I get adjusted on my first visit?

Your first visit is dedicated to understanding what brought you in. We’d like to get to know you, do tests to understand what’s really going on, and learn how this is all affecting your life.

When you come back for your second visit, the doctor will let you know the results of your comprehensive chiropractic examination, if she can accept your case, and what her recommendations would be. From there, you can begin with your first adjustment.

Will you suggest exercises or other things I can do?

Part of your report of findings will include specific things you can do on your own to support your healing process. The recommendations and resources shared are tailored specifically to each client’s needs.

Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?

Yes, definitely. Our no-crack approach is gentle and comfortable for people with all types of spinal conditions.

How safe are adjustments on children?

Adjustments are safe for kids. Our approach does not use any popping, cracking, or twisting of the neck or back. Instead, we use just a few ounces of pressure at specific points along the spine to help create change. It’s a very comfortable process – kids love coming to see us!

How often should my child be adjusted?

It’s common to be seen more frequently when beginning care, in order to establish new, healthier patterns in their body. This may be 1-3 adjustments per week.

For ongoing care as part of a well-being strategy, that may be anywhere between 1-4 adjustments per month.
Recommendations are tailored according to your health goals, the stress your child is under, and even logistics like when your family schedule allows for them to get in.

Pregnancy Chiropractic:

How safe is an adjustment during pregnancy?

Our adjustments are completely safe during pregnancy. NetworkSpinal chiropractic does not force, twist, crack, or pop any part of the neck or back. Instead, by gently cueing the nerves to shift into a regulated state, the body can relax into ease, better breathing, better posture, and so many other wonderful changes that support our pregnant moms.

How often do I need to come in?

A course of care will be recommended after your initial examination, and will be based on your neurospinal findings and goals with care. It’s common to start care at a higher frequency of a couple times per week.

Will you work with my ob/gyn?

We absolutely will work with your ob/gyn for any condition needed.

Do I need a referral from my physician?

If you’ve never gone to a chiropractor before, the good news is that you do not need a referral from your physician! It’s easy – just give us a call and we’ll walk you through the steps to get started.
